The Deputy Chief of Retirement Services in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel at the Pentagon. He was killed during a briefing for DCSPER LTG Timothy Maude when the hijacked Boeing 757 of American Airlines Flight 77 deliberately crashed into the building's western facade.
