This certifies, That the offical records of which I am the lawful custodian on file in this office show that Isaac J. Shoemaker joined for duty and was enrolled as a private of Company H, 54th Regiment Indiana Volunteers at Camp Sullivan on the 23rd day of October 1862 by Capt. Wilson and that he was duly mustered into the Military Service of the United States at Indianapolis on the 8th day of November 1862, for the term of one (1) years by Chas. S. Webb, United States Army Mustering Officer
