Frank was the son of Frank Kilkenny and Jeanette Kilkenny of Brooklyn NY and he entered service (Selected Service) in the US Marine Corps on November 5 1965 in New York City NY. In Vietnam he was serving with Company L, 3d Battalion, 9th Marines, 3d MARDIV (Rein) FMF.By Patric Kilkenny Frank J. Kilkenny - Born in Brooklyn, New York. My Brother - Lefty as we called him - played in with the Pittsbugh Pirates minor league briefly before attending RCA Institute in New York for an Engineering Degree - he enlisted in the United States Marines and I was 16 years old and coming home from playing baseball myself - which he taught me - when I learned of his death. He was my Big Brother. I think of him all the time and wonder what the pain and agony was like that he endured.
