727th Amphibian Tractor Battalion

This battalion was formed on 26 Jan 1944 at Ft. Ord, CA. Left USA on 16 Jun 1944 and arrived at Hollandia, New Guinea on 15 Jul 1944. Part of attack landing forces for the following invasions: - Operation KING TWO (Leyte) 20 Oct 1944 - Supported the 34th Inf Regiment and. 19th Inf Regiment of 24th Division, 6th US Army, and 127th Inf Regiment, and 128th Inf Regiment of 32nd Divison, 6th US Army until relieved on 15 Dec 1944 (Company A). - Operation MIKE ONE (Luzon) 9 Jan 1945 - Supported 20th Inf Regiment and 1st Inf Regiment of 6th Division, 6th US Army until relieved 3 Feb 1945 (Company B). - Supported Base'M', 6th US Army until relieved 15 Mar 1945 (Company A). - Operation MIKE SEVEN (Mariveles-Bataan) 15 Feb 1945 - Supported 151st Inf Regiment, 38th Division, 6th US Army until relieved on 15 Mar 1945 (3rd Platoon, Company A). - Operation OBOE ONE (Tarakan, N.
