Son of George Carlton Rippey and Edna M. Garrett, and husband of Anna Stone. Although born in MO, he lived in Seneca, Ontario Co., NY, in 1880. The Rippeys later moved to Montrose, CO, to Denver, and finally to Orange Co., FL. They were the parents of George Stone Rippey, who became an inventor in the research department of the United Fruit Company.
