A. W. Peterson        

  Arthur Walter Peterson of 606 Jennings Ave., a veteran of both World Wars who spent 30 years in the U. S. Navy before retiring as a commander, died at a local hospital yesterday following a short illness. He was 63.

   A native of Eureka, Mr Peterson had been a resident of Vallejo for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Masonic order.

   Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie A. Peterson of Vallejo: a daughter, Mrs. Helen E. Ard of Oakland: and a sister, Mrs Esther Short of Eureka.

 

   Funeral arrangements are pending at Twin Chapels.

Arthur worked for Marconi the inventor of the Wireless. Mr Peterson was the first person to contact Japan by wireless.
