LEWISTOWN -- David L. "Dave" Easley, 58, of Rural Route 4 died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 1992, at his home.

Born March 1, 1934, in Vermont Township in Fulton County to Abram K. and Mabel M. Johnson Easley, he married Marjorie M. Bainter in Lewistown on April 10, 1954.

She survives, along with his parents of Lewistown; two sons, James D. of Lewistown and Joseph L. of Decatur; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Julie) Smick of Canton; two foster daughters, Mrs. Harumi Kuroiwa of Chiba, Japan, and Mrs. Monica Banks de Gedde of Caracas, Venezuela; one brother, Dan Easley of Darien; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Leta) Grubor and Mrs. Gene (Sandra) Welker, both of Lewistown; and six grandchildren.

The owner of Easley Tax Service in Lewistown, he also worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier for 31 years until retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Independent Accountants Association of Illinois, Rural Mail Carriers Association and the Lewistown Odd Fellows, where he was a Past Nobel Grand.
He was also a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Lewistown.

Services will be Wednesday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown, the Rev. Robert O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown.
