KENNETH OSCAR EKELUND JR.

EKELUND Kenneth Oscar Ekelund, Jr., 85, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. Born January 9, 1924 in Washington, DC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Merlle T. Ekelund. Kenneth is survived by his children, Karen Ann Ekelund, Kenneth Oscar Ekelund, III (Martha), Keith Andrew Ekelund (fiance Mary) and Kristine Marie Colon (Jorge); his granddaughter, Gabrielle Lucia Colon; his brother, John Joseph Ekelund and his sister, Marjorie Agnes Hoeft, and many family members and friends.

The family visitation will be Tuesday "today", March 31, 2009 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home (5753 Blanding Blvd.) Jacksonville, FL. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, 10:00am at Saint Matthew's Catholic Church (1773 Blanding Blvd.) Jacksonville, FL 32210. Funeral Service will conclude at the church.

Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date with full military honors.
