Military Band Tour in Europe after WWI

France

Clyde Josey remained in Europe after the war to participate in a military band tour. In his letters home he asked his fiancée, Bessie, to send him sheet music. He played the baritone horn. I believe his band leader was Leonard B. Smith, who was later principal trumpeter of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.  They remained friends after the war.

Clyde Josey's WWI Service

France

Clyde Josey served in the U.S. Army Air Service, Company 5 according to his service record.  His specialty was Electrician.  He participated in the Somme defensive in March-April 1918.
