Short Family History

Detroit, Michigan, USA

Born in Chartres, France or possibly in Midi Pyrenees, France to Camille Saillant. I believe his father’s name was Frederic Saillant.

His twin brother’s name was Gaston Saillant.

Emigrated to the US through Canada and became a US citizen by joining the Navy.

Met Hazel Vernier in Michigan, married and had 3 children, Richard (my dad), Camille, and Janet.

They moved out to California and tried to build a life.

Subitted by granddaughter Christine Saillant

Gaston Serge Paul Saillant

Worcester, Massachusettts, USA

Maurice's twin brother Gaston enlisted 10 days later in the US Army at Fort Devins as a Private.
