Ernest Gerald Harber, who was born February 7, 1921 in Abilene, Texas, passed away September 27, 2004.
He attended Abilene High School, McMurray College, and Texas Tech University. Ernest served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II and married Isla Mae (Scottye) Fewell. He was a member of Mesquite Cumberland Presbyterian Church and lived in Mesquite for 35 years. Ernest moved to New Braunfels two years ago to be near his children. He was a non-grocery salesman for many years. Ernest worked with little league baseball and was active in the Boy Scouts for many years.
Ernest is survived by his wife; two sons: Gary D. Harber of New Braunfels and Dale Harber; a daughter, Geni Denease Harber of New Braunfels; eight grandchildren; and one step-brother, Dr. William King of Abilene.
Services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Restland's Wildwood Chapel.
