Funeral services for Ben Kuykendall, 79, of Granbury were held Monday, June
7, 2004, at Laurel Land's Chapel of Chimes in Fort Worth. Burial was in
Laurel Land Memorial Park.
The member of the First Baptist Church of Granbury died Thursday, June 3,
2004, in Granbury. He was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Maypearl and served in the
U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. His mother and stepfather preceded
him in death.
Survivors are his wife of 34 years, Lee Kuykendall; children, Kathy Luhn,
Kem Kuykendall, Kevin Kuykendall; stepdaughters, Karen Parker, Loma Stanley;
six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

GRANBURY -- Ben Kuykendall, 79, a loving husband, father, grandfather and
friend, a retired insurance adjuster, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004, in
Granbury.
Funeral: noon Monday, Laurel Land's Chapel of Chimes, Fort Worth. Burial:
Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home.
Ben was born to the late Benjamin and Lillie Pearl Addieway-Kuykendall Nov.
26, 1924, in Maypearl. He married Lee Edge June 26, 1970, in Durant, Okla.
Ben was a member of First Baptist Church of Granbury. He served in the U.S.
Army Air Corps during World War II.
Ben was a Mason. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sketching. An all-around
outdoorsman, he was an animal lover. He always had horses and dogs. He will
be remembered by many as a jokester with a great sense of humor. Ben will be
missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Pearl Lloyd and stepfather,
Jiles T. "J.T." Lloyd.
Survivors: Wife of 34 years, Lee Kuykendall; children, Kathy Luhn, Kem
Kuykendall and his wife, Mary, Kevin Kuykendall and his wife, Anne;
stepdaughters, Karen Parker and her husband, James, Loma Stanley; grandchildren, Bryan,
Margaret, Julia, Scotty, Tommy, Steven; and great-grandchild, Lindsey.
