Hilda Fischer

Hilda Helen Fischer was my aunt . Aunt Hilda lived her life in the New Orleans and lived in the uptown section of New Orlean or what was then called the Carrollton section. Hilda worked for may years on Oak Street at the Junkers Department store and when younger worked at the cigarette and tobacco counter located in the Monteleon Hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans. On weekends she was an usherette at the old Popular show on Plum Street a few blocks from home and she always enjoyed tell me her nephew how she got to see all the latest movies FREE.
