JAMES Jesse Tilmon James, 86, of 115 Brigance, Marked Tree, died Thursday at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. He had lived in Northeast Arkansas for 58 years, 25 of those years in Marked Tree. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marked Tree and was a retired cotton ginner.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Ada James of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Laura Privett of Coloma, Mich., Mrs. Mary Tull of Bethel Springs, Tenn, and Mrs. Virginia Boyd of Campbell, MO; one son, Edward James of Garland, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Laura Dycus of Arbyrd, MO; and one brother, Rev. Odis James of St. James, MO.; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 this afternoon in the chapel of Murphy Funeral Home at Marked Tree with Rev. Joe Linam and Rev. Odis James officiating. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery.
