Private First Class Pritchett was a member of 674th Airborne Field Artillery Battalion, 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. On August 20, 1952, he drowned while swimming in the river near Hajagnimin, Korea. Private First Class Pritchett was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
