Notes

Corporal Leonard was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Chochiwon, South Korea on July 11, 1950. Corporal Leonard was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

I am the lone suviving member of our family. Jearold was KIA as you indicated however we, his family, never received any of the medals indicated. Is there anyway to obtain duplicates of those? Obviously he was awarded those after his death and our family never knew of this. Thank You! Myrna Busse Monterey, Ca. 93940
