According to the Thursday, May 8, 1945 Union-Sun & Journal, Lockport, NY, "Second Lieut. Charles W. Rowley, son of Mrs. Beulah E. Rowley, 229 Pine St., has been held a prisoner in a Japanese interment camp since the fall of Bataan." This paper is in the Niagara County Historians Office.
