Edward R Larrivee was born on October 2, 1920 in Belknap County New Hampshire to Damase and Josephine Dickson Larrivee. His father was born in Maine and was a Barber, he served in WWI. His mother was born in New Hampshire. Edward was the oldest of three sons including Kenneth and J.Richard.

He had enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces and served during World War II. Larrivee had the rank of Second Lieutenant. Service number assignment was O-677787. Attached to 92nd Bomber Group, Heavy, 326th Bomber Squadron as a Pilot.

He was the Pilot on FAME'S FAVOURED FEW. B-17G #42-31888. The aircraft was struck by 20mm shells, the aircraft went out of control, exploded into pieces and crashed East of Hamm, Germany on a mission to Munster and Hamm, Germany. The crew went down with the ship, two survived and became POW's.

Edward R Larrivee is buried at Plot E Row 14 Grave 24, Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands. This is an American Battle Monuments Commission location.
