Stories

Harley W McComas

Harley lies near 340th Bomb Group, 486th Bomb Squad Thomas Cahill who was KIA flying in the B-25 Medium Bomber

I learned a few months back that a Dutch family adopted my uncle John W “Jack” Cahill’s grave at Margraten Cemetery in Holland in 1996. We have emailed and it’s been great for both of us to get to know the other.

This same family has adopted a soldier at a military cemetery in Belgium. Because this family speaks little English, I am searching for information on their additional adoptees. (They have also adopted Bernard Curran at Margraten, but I found him on fold3.com.)

I’ve attached the information on Harley. I found online info, he is from Kansas, and I will pursue those contacts.  Might you be able to find him with your expertise, you’re the fold3 guru? I’d like to bookmark him and put a “watch” on him also. Sometimes there is a space between the two C’s (Mc Comas) and sometimes there is not. I’ve tried both.

Thanks for any suggestions or help you might offer, Barbi!
