T. and Martha were the parents of six children: Margaret Louisa (Lou); Louis Coleman; Jas. Hardee; Chas. Ninian; Wm. Lawson (Will); and Sarah Frances (Fan). During the Civil War, John fought in for the Confederacy. Later, he served for a number of years as Burnet Co. clerk.
