Son of John and Hannah (Lackey) Chamberlain. Husband of Hannah Moore (1788-1872), whom he married in March, 1811, some nine months before his untimely death. Hannah remarried two years later, to Stephen McBroom (1784-1854), and moved to Madison Co., AL. Stephen McBroom is reputed to have been one of the founders of Huntsville, AL.
