Glenn Russell ROSENGRANT, born 27 Dec 1910 to Harry B. ROSENGRANT and Minnie (nee BERRY), married 1936 to Helma FRITZ. Glenn died on 13 Jul 2005 in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, Pennsyvlania.

During World War II and afterward in the U.S. Army, Glenn was stationed at the following locations: Fort Benning, GA for Army Vehicles School; Camp Shelby, MS; Fort George Meade, MD; Camp Reynolds (near Sharon), PA, called old Camp “Shenango”; Fort Ord, CA; Australia, Oro Bay in New Guinea for jungle training in the Owen Stanley Mtns.; Leyte and Luzon, Phillippine Islands to the end of the war; on the island of Kyushu in Japan; Fort Lewis, WA; and he was discharged in 1946 from Indiantown Gap, PA as a Master Sergeant.

Glenn Russell Rosengrant of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Masonic Village. He was 94 years old. Glenn was born December 27, 1910 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, son of the late Harry B. Rosengrant and the late Minnie Rosengrant (nee - Berry).

He is the beloved husband of the late Helma Dorothy Rosengrant. He is survived by his nieces and nephews.

Glenn was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, his family moved to Roslyn, Pennsylvania when he was a youngster. Glenn worked as an automobile mechanic for the Martindale Ford Agency and from 1938 until 1943 he operated the gasoline service station in Roslyn. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 until his discharge in January 1946, serving in the Philippines during the Luzon Campaign. He served with distinction reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. For most of his career after the war he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Roslyn. He was a member of the Friendship-Williams Lodge, No. 400 F. & A.M.
