Notes

These are members of United States forces killed in Belgium in both World War I and II, buried in small communal and military cemeteries. Extensive biographies of each can be found on the American Overseas Memorial Day Association (AOMDA)-Belgium website. In most cases, they were not moved to American cemeteries in Europe, or not returned home, or returned from American cemeteries because of decisions made by their families. They fall under the remembrance activities of AOMDA Ð Belgium, based in Brussels, which also performs remembrance activities in the American cemeteries of Belgium.
