Charles E. "Chuck" Saling, of Lisbon Street, died Tuesday Dec. 18, 2012 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was 77.
Born in Wellsville, Ohio, Feb. 22, 1935, he was a son of the late Rolland Mathew and Gladys Sheets Saling. He was a member of the United Brethren in Christ Church.
He worked at the former Crucible Steel Company until his retirement. He had also worked at East Liverpool City Schools and Columbiana Foundry.
His wife, Annetta McClung Saling, survives at home.
There are three daughters, Joyce Saling of East Liverpool, Sandy Bryson of Boardman, Ohio, and Tammy Linkous of East Liverpool, as well as a son, Roger Saling of Highlandtown. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Lou Higgins of East Liverpool, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Charles R. "Chuck" Saling.
Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Joe Cilone will conduct a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the New Hope Church in Wellsville for fellowship.
