The youngest son of Ninian Beaty (1787-1857) and Jane McKenzie (1785-1838) of Butler Co., OH, Jeremiah married Nancy Lewis on 23 Dec. 1847. To them, the following children were born: David Sanford; Lewis R. (Lute); John N.; Robert C.; Charles W.; Adda J.; Anna Mary (Mayme); and Wm. H. The Beaty family moved to Jerseyville, IL, in 1858, and in 1878 relocated to Johnson Co., MO.
