Third son of Samuel Chamberlain (1788-1865) and Mercy Cotton (1792-1880); husband of Sarah Jeannette Skinner (1834-1862), whom he married in 1854. Corydon and Sarah had two sons: James Robert (1857-1939) and Eugene S. (1863- ). For many years, Corydon S. Chamberlain was a well-known tanner and miller in Hannibal, NY. He apparently remarried after Sarah's death.
