Gettysburg and Pickett's Charge

Involved in Pickett's Charge where he was wounded in his left arm which he had to have amputated. 

He had been engaged to his fiance since before he went to war. Her name was Cecelia Rose Ursula Galle and she was 14 and he 18. After he arrived back home she found out about his arm and decided not to marry him. She went and saw him at the urging of her father Louis Galle, and after seeing him she changed her mind and they married Nov.21, 1865 in Mobile.
