 I just learned this gentleman's name recently: I was a medic with C trp 1st sqd/1st cav americal division (3rd platoon). I never knew him but was the first to reach him and the last to leave him. He's been haunting me for years. He died instantly with no visual trauma as the captain next to him was hit with an rpg. You should be proud of him. I am so sorry to have left his body behind, but was glad to find it was retrieved. He had a lot of company that day.
