PVT Horace Greeley Bartlett

After fighting and being wounded for over a year, he awoke to peace. H.G. soon hear hoof beats break the silence and he and his mess mates could see dust from a horse in the distance.  As the rider and horse grew closer, he could see the rider wore Confederate gray and in the rider's hand, he carried a white flag.  A white flag!
