Alton Ray Stacey was born 25 May 1930 (family records). He was the son of Alton Lee Stacey and Eula Mae Walker. Alton Ray Stacey was raised by his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Hattie Stacey, at Rt. 1, Box 125A in Palatka, FL. Sgt. Alton R. Stacey, RA 14287031, MOS 02745, was killed in action at Kumgong, Korea serving with the 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart, posthumously, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He was survived by his parents and three brother, Tony, Donald, and Jerry.
