Stamps-Baxter Music Company
November 15, 2009 | Chattanooga, Tn
"In the 1920's the Baxters formed their own company in partnership with Virgil O. Stamps. There were two main offices: one in Chattanooga, operated by the Baxters; and one in Dallas, operated by Mr Stamps. The printing plant was in Dallas. When Mr Stamps died of a heart attack in August, 1940, the Baxters moved to Dallas and ran the entire business from there.
