Battle of San Lo

Battle of San Lo

Just now got an email from my cousin who told me his Dad my Dad Clarence Joseph Frese's youngest brother told him how my Dad was awarded the Purple Heart. He had the tip of his ear shot off in the Battle of San Lo. 135 of 200 members were lost according to my Uncle. I would like to learn more about this battle if anyone has info on it or knows how I can get it please post. Thank You Clarence's youngest daughter.

12-15-2015 a friend told me it's St. Lo. If I knew how to edit I would! It has helped me learn more about this battle. My husband and I when we were dating and living in Quincy, Illinois took my Dad to the movie Patton. He never talked about the War so this was as close to a discussion about it I ever had with him. He mentioned he had seen General Patton. Now I am trying to figure out how my Dad was wounded in the war. My Uncle remembers being a child and hearing of a bullet that took off part of my Dad's ear and how his Mother woke up at 2am that exact time it happened and said "Ike's been shot". That was my Dad's nickname. I remember being on vacation and stopping to see some of my Dad's Army buddies.
