Dorla D Hillen

Dorla Diane Kunkle Hillen, 55, of Tarrs, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, May 22, 2012, with her family by her side. Born May 22, 1957, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of the late Graham and Nettie Phiffer Kunkle. Dorla was a 1975 graduate of Connellsville High School, also attended the Connellsville Area Vo-Tech School for Culinary Arts and a member of the new Stanton Alliance Church. Diane loved to play cards, Nascar racing, bingo, camping, fishing and being with family and friends, but most of all spending time with her granddaughter, Stephanie, and special nieces, Cherie and Jackie. Surviving are her husband, David E Hillen; children, Rachelle Kunkle and Vernon Ritenour Jr., of Indian Head, David Jr., at home, and Renee, of Tarrs; granddaughter, Stephanie; brother, Gilbert Kunkle and wife, Glee; sisters, Wilma Mowry, of Ligonier, Betty Griffith and husband, Hubert "Bud", of Mt. Pleasant, Debbie Shaw and husband, Ed, of Mt. Pleasant; mother and father-in-law, Patty and Frank Polanovsky, of Connellsville; brothers-in-law, James Hillen and wife, Cindy, of Connellsville, and Paul Hillen and wife, Joan, of Scottdale; and 18 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorla was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Richards; brothers-in-law, Howard Mowry and James Richards; and nephew, Brian Hixson.
