Joseph & Mary Francis' move to California

| Colusa, California

Joseph and Mary Francis arrived in California by train with several other family members leaving their homes in Hallsville, Missouri.  Family members from Mary Francis's father's side were already settled here and they met them at the train station.  They stayed in the Colusa area for awhile then moved up to Tehama County area and settled in Corning.  They raised five children and farmed and ranched several places in the County.

Joseph's military service can be perused at the attached link mentioned on this memorial.
