Lynn Wymers life story

| Born at Portales, New Mexico

Lynn was the fourth child born to Levi Clarence Wymer and Clara Violet Kincheloe Wymer.  He was about three years old when the family moved back into the area of Woods county, Oklahoma in 1918.  Kenneth was the oldest child, born at Eureka, Kansas in 1911.  Helen was the next child born in 1912. Ruth Anna was the third child, their first to be born in New Mexico.  The family lived in several places in northwestern Oklahoma until Jan of 1926. They came to Protection, Kansas and purchased the farm just northwest of Protection.  Levi died of a stroke in 1946 and Clara moved into town by 1950.  Sylvia was born also on the farm in April 1918.  Lee, the youngest child, was born at Protection, Kansas. 

Lynn was drafted into the Army Air Corp in 1942. He served overseas in north Africa and Italy. He married Vonnie Hall and they had five children, Allyn, Gayle, Linda, Dewey & Joyce.  Lynn graduated from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago and came back to Protection. He operated Lynn's Radio & Tv for many years in Protection.  He also established a cable television service at Protection.  Lynn had several heart bypass operations and he  was in a nursing home in Protection in his last years.  His widow, Vonnie, and all of his children survive.
