LEWISTOWN -- Margaret M. Marshall, 85, of 1103 N. Cedar St. died at 2:51 p.m. Monday, May 12, 1997, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

Born May 9, 1912, in Lewistown to Donald C. and Jennie Z. Lundquist Hazzard, she married Leonard Marshall on Feb. 11, 1935, in Peoria. He died Oct. 16, 1990. She also was preceded in death by one son, Charles Marshall, and one brother.

Surviving are one brother, Carl Hazzard of Lewistown; one sister, Mrs. Dean (Alzaida) Eveland of Lewistown; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a clerk at the Ben Franklin store in Lewistown from 1942 until she retired in 1986. She was a 61-year member of Lewistown Rebekah Lodge, where she was a Past Noble Grand. She was a former president of District 11 Rebekah Lodge and also the Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant.

A member of Lewistown First Presbyterian Church, she served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher for 60 years and also sang in the choir.

Services will be today at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. John Pereboom will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
