Janice Mummert , Ronald Moreland Exchange Vows

A late summer wedding of simple charm and of local interest took place Sunday afternoon , in the chapel of the First Methodist Church at DeKalb , When nuptial vows were exchanged by Janice A . Mummert , daughter of Mr . and Mrs . Carroll Mummert of DeKalb , and Ronald J . Moreland , son of the James Morelands df Chicago . The Mummerts are well known in Sycamore , where Mr . Mummert is employed in the farm management department of the National Bank and Trust Company . The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev . William . White in the presence of an assembly of relatives and a few close friends Of the bride and

groom . Arrangements of white gladioli and pompons graced the altar . Mrs . Del Schaffer presided at the organ and accompanied the vocalist , Mrs . Roger Weller , as she sang The Wedding Prayer and The Lords Prayer . The young bride , given in marriage by her father , was lovely in her sheath dress of white cotton faille accented with blue embroidery . A pearl crown held her blush veil in place and she carried a white brocade covered Bible adorned with red gladioli . Her maid of honor , Bunny Gould , was attired in a blue cotton sheath , having blue embroidery and with which she wore a matching blue blush veil . Red gladioli were in her bouquet . Attending the groom as best man was his brother , Jack -Moreland , and the ushers were Lew Bertsos , Gordie Beaudoin and Bill Mummert . / The brides sister , Peggy , . served as flower girl , wearing a

blue sundress . Following the ceremony , a buffet dinner , prepared by Mrs . Louise Harazin of Sycamore , cateress , was served the guests at a delightful lawn reception held at the Mummert home . Presiding at the punch bowl were Carole Masilunis and Carol Hutchison ; Mrs . Harold Ellis poured coffee ; M § s . Jack Moreland and Mrs . D | n Youlch cut the cake ; and in charge of the guest book and the gifts was Judy Ellis . The couple will make their home at 935 West Lincoln Highway , 9-B , in DeKalb . The bride attended Illinois Wesleyan University for two years , and has been employed in the Swen Parson library at the Northern Illinois University . The groom , after serving with the armed forces in Germany for two years , is now a Northern Illinois University student , majoring in physical education .
