Meteorite Explodes Over Utah

A blinding ball of fire flashed across the sky around 8:15 p.m.   I happened to be looking up at the first stars of the night and saw the meteorite streak across the sky from east to west and then explode just beyond a vertical view.

For a few moments, it was as bright as day.   Surprised to the extreme, the only word that came to mind and mouth was "WOW".   Because the flash was so bright, my parents saw the flash inside our home.  It wasn't difficult to convince them that I'd seen something really unusual in the sky.
