Danny Hoskins Sniper Victim in Viet War

Trenton Soldier 40th Servicemn of Area to Die

Army Cpl. Danny Hoskins, 25, 100 Keith Ave., Trenton, is listed as the area's 40th serviceman to be killed in action in Vietnam.

Cpl. Hoskins died of sniper wounds, May 26, while serving with Company C., 1st Battalion 50th Infantry Division.

He was born in Hamilton, June 16, 1942, the son of John and Nannie Hoskins.

He was employed at Armco Steel as a welder before enterig the service on Aug. 9, 1967.  He had been in Vietnam since February.

Members of Family

He leaves his wife Mary; his mother Mrs. Nannie Hoskins; a son, a daughter, one brother, John Hoskins, Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Lily Urban, Seven Mile, Mrs. June Lovely, Trenton and Mrs. Billie McPherson, Middletown.

He was preceded in death by his father, who died in 1966.
