Early Life

| Campbellsburg, Washington County, Indiana

Otis Brewer was born the son of Martha and John Brewer in Campellsburg, Washington County, Indiana.  He was a farmer who married Josephine Unknown and had a son John Otis Brewer.

Military Life - Early

| Camp Taylor, Jefferson County, Kentucky

Upon entering the army on March 28, 1918 at Salem, Washington County, Indiana he was sent to Camp Taylor, Jefferson County, Kentucky.  He was assigned to the 13th Company, 4th Training Battalion, 159th Depot Brigade.

Military Life - Late

| Camp Gordon, Georgia

Upon the completion of his training, Otis Brewer was sent to Camp Gordon, Georgia and assigned to the 14th Company, 2nd Infantry, Replacement Brigade.  His unit was slated to be sent to France.  Unfortunately, Otis Brewer died of pneumonia on May 16, 1918 at Camp Gordon.  He is buried in Campbellsburg, Washington County, Indiana.  He was survived by his wife and son.
