Clarence Splittorff was born March 18, 1894 near Boonville. He worked as a farmer prior to enlisting in the army on August 27, 1918 at Boonville. He was sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio. while there he served with the 21st Co., 6th Training Battalion, 158th Depot Brigade. He contracted pneumonia (most likely as a result of the influenza) and died on November 18, 1918. He is buried in Morrison Cemetery, Hart Township, Warrick county, Indiana.
