Private Asa Moore

| Prince George's Co. Maryland

Asa Moore enlisted at Prince George's Co. MD in April or May 1778. He served as a Private in Captain Boyd's third Regiment and Captain Thomas Price's and Lynn's Cos. under Colonels Peter Adam's and John Stewart's Maryland Regiments. He was with the Maryland Line when they marched through Pennsylvania, New Jersy and New York. He was in the battle of Stony Point,  Maryland. and was discharged at Annapolis in 1783.
He was granted a pension on Sept. 27, 1832 and died in Posey Co. Indiana on September 20, 1834 and is buried in the Reeves Cemetery, Robb Twp. Posey County, Indiana.
