Daughters of American Revolution founded to protect American heritage.

Formed to protect national monuments and American interests, on October 11, 1890, the Daughters of the American Revolution Organization is founded.  Patriotism and education are among the most important ideals of this group, becoming officially sanctioned by a congressional charter in 1896.  Proclaiming the motto "God, Home and Country," the Daughters of the American Revolution raise funds for educational purposes as a means to promote patriotism, and has members all throughout the world.
