Born John Albert Hagberg in 1884 at Sweden.
He came to Nome, Alaska during the "Gold Rush" days circa 1915.
Applied for "naturalization" Case #430.
In 1926 he married Laura Belle Beltz. The couple lived a busy, happy life, operating a gold mine, and raising their six children. They eventually moved to Fairbanks so the children could attend high school.
Both he and Laura served as members of the Alaska Territorial Guard during World War II.
He died in 1948 and is buried at Birch Hill Cemetery near Fairbanks, Alaska.
