Hiram Newberry

| Barren County, Kentucky Hardin County, Tennessee

Hiram Newberry Joined for Duty and Enrolled On 15 October 1861 at the age of 24 for 3 years as a Private in Captain Estes' Company (Company D), 13th Regiment Kentucky Infantry at Camp Hobson,near Greensburg, Kentucky.  He was Mustered In On 30 December 1861 at Camp Andy Johnson (Barbourville, Kentucky).  On 7 April 1862 he was "slightly wounded" by a "Gun Shot" at Pittsburg Landing, Battle of Shiloh, Hardin County, Tennesee.  On 23 April 1862 Hiram Newberry died from "Gun Shot Wound", "Died from wound received at Battle of Shiloh" at City General Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
