James Glendell Jackson, 80, of House Springs, Jefferson County, Missouri, was the son of John Franklin Jackson and Essa Vina Whitener Lewallen Jackson.
He was born 27 September 1926 at Bakersfield, Kern County, California.
The family moved back to Missouri in 1929 and he was reared up at Saco, Twelve Mile Township, Madison County, Missouri. He attended school at Mt. Pisgah School. His half brother William Lee Lewallen was his teacher.
On 23 February 1946, he and Melbaline Fern Brewer, the daughter of Walter Zachary Brewer and Beulah Lorene Weltie Brewer were united in marriage in St Louis, City, Missouri.
She preceded him in death on 11 April 2002.
