LOST HERO

Barry was my squad leader until he was killed. He had borrowed Bud Goletz’s grenade launcher (the one he holds in the picture) to shoot a grenade into a bunker where another squad had enemy soldiers trapped. When he raised up to fire, he was shot through the neck. Barry was certainly a hero and should not be forgotten. Barry is on the right in the picture with Adam Hernandez.POSTED ON 10.2.2017

A BRAVE YOUNG MAN

I was not in Barry Jackson's squad but was in the next squad over that day. He was a brave and capable young man whose life was cut off much too early.
