Helen Thurman Phelps

I remember visiting Aunt Helen alot as a child. My Granny Thurman lived with her and Uncle Herman when she got older. I remember visiting and Granny insisting she wanted to get out of her wheel chair and play in the floor with me. Aunt Helen and my Dad would sit her in the floor and we would play while dolls, cards, look at her old pictures, etc. On one visit she gave me the only picture of herself that I still carry to this day. After Granny past, we still visited Aunt Helen alot. Aunt Helen took the place of Granny in having me over for sleep overs and we would sit up all night watching TV and eating popcorn. She would tell me stories of her growing up years. I remember her fondly and miss her.
