Paul N Hansen

John and Sofie Jacobena (Benbina, incorrect in the Census) in 1930 had a daughter Elizabeth B, and Barbara J (Twins were 15) then Paul N was 10 and Leslie John was 8.

Paul was a P-47 Fighter Pilot in WWII.  As of 7 March, 2011, we believe he was a Fighter Pilot with the 31st Fighter Group, 309th Fighter Squadron and there will me much more to the story.

Paul's Brother Leslie John Hansen, b. April 27, 1921 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  He was the son of John Hansen and Sofie Jacobena Nelson.  He married Bette Jayne Stevens on April 14, 1945 in Council Bluffs.  They have two children, Nancy Lea (my wife) and Leslie Paul.  Les died Sept. 29, 2001 in CB and is buied in Lewis Township Cemetery, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa.  Les was a radio-gunner on a B-17, the "Catherine the Great" and was gravely injured on his 2nd Mission, the most dangerous and important  Mission of all, PLOESTI !   The Oil Fields of Ploseti, Romania and Les is severly injured on the way there.  He did not tell but on the way home he nearly led to death, then for a while, it was not certain that he would keep his arm, but he DID !  Below the Map is one of the 2 sites on Paul's brother Les.

Tim and Nancy Lea Chew (Nancy Lea is Les' Daughter and Tim, son-in-Law).

Barbi Ennis Connolly, 57th Bomb Wing Historical Researcher and 319th Bomb Group and 321st Bomb Group's Historian, (321st Bomb Group, 447th Bomb Squadron is my Dad/Edward Ennis' [1914-2005]Squadron)   "B-25 Mitchell Medium Bombers in the MTO".  The other two History Team Members, we ALL contribute to each project, are Patti Johnson (446th BS Friend of J Raymond Orechia, KIA and John T Fitzgerald, son of 446th Bomb Squad Dad/Lt Jack Fitzgerald.  PRINCESSBARBI_B25@msn.com  Additions/Corrections?    ....  anyone in Paul's Fighter Group, please email me :)
