2653. ADAM RICHMOND 7 (Preserved 6, Adam 5, Stephen 4, John 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born on the "Royal Grant," R.I., June 18, 1793, and died at Greenbush, Clinton County, Mich., January 23, 1874. He married Mrs. Sally (Farley) Stiles, who was born October 4, 1790, and died August 14, 1864, at Greenbush. He enlisted in the War of 1812, with his brother Ezra, and they were the first of the ill-fated volunteers who crossed into Canada. They were under Gen. Dans [Daniel Davis] of Leroy, N.Y. "He was a straight-forward, energetic, industrious farmer, of good moral character, and strictly temperate in all things." They lived at Greenbush, Mich.
